Manufactured homes
I have been working on a sale of a manufactured home that is about to go down in flames. The problems are all related to earlier owners that did not follow the rules in the state of Washington. Regardless of County or City building requirements, any manufactured home that is being set up or modified requires the Washington State Department of Labor and Industry to inspect the work! This includes, changing a hot water tank, adding or changing the air conditioner, changing an electrical connection, adding a new roof, adding a garage/carport and connecting it to the house. The list goes on and on. So when you are ready to make an alteration take a minute and visit the local L&I office. If an inspection is needed the cost is pretty nominal. But a lot better at the time you are doing the project then to find out later you cannot sell the home.
